Happy PRIDE month!
Pride month is about acceptance, equality, celebrating the work of LGBTQ+ people, education in LGBTQ+ history and raising awareness of issues affecting the LGBTQ+ community.
We are proud to call Bristol, a city recognised as one of the top 20 places globally for LGBTQ+ residents, our home. Bristol has been ranked fourth best in the UK for its vibrant dating scene, lively nightlife, open-mindedness, safety, and strong LGBTQ+ rights.
In one of our Urban Apartments blog posts, we highlighted the fantastic Pride event that will take place in the city this year.
At Urban Student, we take pride in our inclusive ethos and practices, ensuring that everyone is, and feels, welcome. As an accommodation provider, we understand how crucial it is for our tenants to feel accepted, supported, and safe in our properties and our city.
As a student accommodation provider, we understand how incredibly important this is for young people moving to a new city for the first time. They must feel they have a supportive community here to thrive and be authentic to themselves.
Here’s a bit of what we do to ensure a welcoming and supportive environment:
- We treat our tenants comfort and ease with the upmost importance.
- We allow you to choose who you live with, whether you prefer to live alone or with others who share your preferences.
- Our apartments provide private space for studying or personal time.
- We’re always available to offer support and advice as you navigate life in a new city.
- We’re working with local companies, communities and student societies to understand and meet the diverse needs of our tenants and guests.
- We are on hand and over the phone 24 hours, to ensure our guests always feel informed and secure.
- We do not tolerate hateful or harmful actions, speech or behaviour.
- We ensure maximum privacy and security.
This Pride Month, and every month of the year, let’s strive for a world that is inclusive, supportive and empowering to all!
