Bristol is getting ready for another exciting year of live music, with the city’s festivals starting to the release the line ups for 2025. Whether you’re into indie, rock, electronic, or something a bit different, there’s something for everyone in 2025. Here’s are just some of the big festivals you can look forward to in Bristol this year…
Dot to Dot – Saturday 24th May 2025
Location: Various venues across Bristol
Kick off the festival season with Dot to Dot, a renowned multi-venue festival that celebrates emerging talent and alternative acts. Dot to Dot will take over the heart of Bristol on May 24th, with performances from a diverse range of artists and genres. The popular charm of this festival lies in its intimate, city-wide setting, where you’ll be hopping between small venues, discovering new music.
With a reputation for showcasing up-and-coming artists before they hit the mainstream, Dot to Dot is the perfect event for music lovers.
Love Saves The Day – 24th – 25th May 2025
Location: Ashton Gate Park
The same weekend as Dot to Dot brings Love Saves The Day (so why not do both?!), a legendary festival that’s firmly established itself as one of the best in Bristol. This two-day event, taking place on May 24th and 25th, is a celebration of all things dance and electronic music. Love Saves The Day has become a must-visit for fans of house, techno, drum and bass, and more.
Ashton Gate transforms into a festival paradise, with multiple stages, large art installations and stalls….and obviously lots of great music stages!
BS3 Festival – Saturday 21st June 2025
Location: Ashton Gate Stadium

One stadium, two stages, and ten artists. BS3 Live, the multi-artist music extravaganza will be centred around incredible live performances from legendary artists, current chart-toppers and rising stars of the future and will become an iconic event in the South West’s musical calendar.
Bristol Sounds – 25th – 29th June 2025
Location: Lloyds Amphitheatre, Harbourside
For five days in June (from the 25th to the 29th), Bristol Sounds takes over the stunning Harbourside area. This festival blends live music with breathtaking waterfront views, making it an unforgettable summer event. Bristol Sounds traditionally features an exciting mix of both big-name artists as well as more up and coming acts, spanning genres like pop, rock, electronic, and folk.
With its picturesque location and varied line-up, Bristol Sounds is a great way to enjoy music while soaking in the beauty of the city’s waterfront.
Arctangent – 13th-16th August 2025
Location: Fernhill Farm, near Bristol
If you’re a fan of rock, metal, and experimental music, ArcTanGent is the festival you’ve been waiting for. From August 13th to 16th, this festival will take place at Fernhill Farm, just outside the city. ArcTanGent has made a name for itself as the UK’s leading festival for experimental and underground music, featuring a mix of post-rock, math rock, metal, and more avant-garde sounds.
Forwards Festival – 23rd – 24th August 2025
Location: Clifton Downs

Taking place on the weekend of August 23rd-24th, Forwards Festival is another highlight of Bristol’s summer festival calendar. Held on the spacious Clifton Downs, this festival brings together an incredible mix of live music, food, and stalls. With the first festival taking place in 2022, Forwards Festival has quickly become a staple of Bristol’s live music scene.
