If you’re moving to Bristol to begin your studies, one of the first things you’ll need to figure out is how to get from Bristol Airport to your new home. Many of our international students ask us what’s the easiest way to reach their student apartment in Park Street or Clifton from Bristol Airport is, so we’re here to answer the question!
The good news is that Bristol Airport is very well connected to the city. This guide gives you step-by-step travel directions to Park Street, which is where our office is based and where all of our student apartments are located (within a 10-minute walk).
Option 1: A1 Airport Flyer Bus
The most straightforward and affordable option is the A1 Airport Flyer Bus.
- Route: The bus leaves directly from Bristol Airport and travels into the city centre.
- Where to get off: The most convenient stop is Bristol Bus & Coach Station or Bristol Temple Meads railway station. From either of these stops, Park Street is just a short bus ride or 15–20 minute walk away.
- Frequency: Every 8–10 minutes, running 24/7.
- Journey time: About 30–40 minutes to the city centre.
- Cost: Around £9 for a single ticket.
💡 Tip: From Bristol Bus Station, you can either walk (15 minutes uphill) or catch a local bus that will drop you closer to Park Street and Clifton.
Option 2: Taxi or Private Transfer (Fastest & Most Convenient)
If you prefer a door-to-door journey, taxis are available outside the arrivals hall. You can also find Ubers available in this area – it’s worth looking at both beforehand to determine which is cheaper (the price can vary on the day due to peak times, busy periods etc.).
- Journey time: Around 20–25 minutes to Park Street, depending on traffic.
- Cost: Usually £25–35 for a standard taxi or Uber. Private transfers are available but more expensive.
This option is especially useful if you’re arriving late at night, carrying lots of luggage, or just want a quick, stress-free trip straight to your student accommodation..
