Valentine’s Day, often associated with romantic love, is either one of your favourite days of the year, or your worst nightmare. Well, who says the day must be reserved solely for couples?! This year, let’s turn the spotlight on friendship and celebrate ‘Pal’entines Day! Whether you’re single or just want to show your friends some extra love, here are some fun and heart-warming ideas to make this Valentine’s Day memorable with your friends.
Movie Marathon Night
Get your friends together for a cosy movie night in. Switch on your Urban Student SmartTV, choose your favourite films, and create a comfy movie-watching nest with blankets and snacks. Rom Coms and classics not your thing? Who said you can’t go for a horror or thriller? We’re all about switching up Valentine’s traditions over here.
DIY Pizza Party
Host a do-it-yourself pizza night where everyone gets to customize their own pizza. Buy a load of pizza bases from the supermarket, set up a variety of toppings, sauces, and cheeses, and start making! Whilst the restaurants are full of Valentine’s Day bookings, you can have fun making it yourself at home. It’s much more rewarding. P.S. can we come?
Palentine’s Day Brunch
Organise a Palentine’s Day brunch with your closest friends. Because who doesn’t love brunch? Especially when you can catch up with all the latest gossip over a Mimosa and yummy food.
Virtual Game Night
If you can’t be with your pals in person, why not organise a virtual game night? Choose multiplayer games, trivia, or classic board games that you can play together online. It’s a fantastic way to stay connected and have a laugh, no matter where your friends are located.
Gift Exchange
Organising a small gift exchange is always a fun and creative way of showing your friends some love. It doesn’t have to be extravagant – thoughtful and personalised gifts or even handmade crafts can make the day extra special. It can even be fun to add a theme, e.g. gifts that have to be certain colour or the weirdest gift you can find.
Outdoor Adventure
For the more adventurous pals, plan an outdoor activity together. Whether it’s a hike, a bike ride, or a simple stroll in the park, spending time outdoors can be a great way to catch up.
Crafting Party
Have you seen all the ‘paint and sip’ TikToks recently? A great way to do something unique for your friends is by hosting a crafting party. Whether it’s making personalised cards, paintings, or trying your hand at DIY projects, it’s fun and creative!
This Valentines Day, whether you opt for a movie night, a DIY pizza party, or a virtual game night, make sure to have fun with your people. After all, love comes in many forms! Happy ‘Pal’entines Day!
