At Urban Student, we know student life can be hectic, and worrying about your belongings shouldn’t be part of it. That’s why, as part of your tenancy with us, you’re automatically covered by Endsleigh Insurance. Let’s break down what this means for you in simple terms.

 

What’s Covered?

  • Your Stuff in Your Room:

    • If anything happens to your personal belongings in your student apartment (like fire, flood, or theft), you’re covered.

    • This includes your clothes, gadgets, and general belongings.

  • Accidents Happen – But You’re Covered!

    • Accidentally damaged something in your apartment? Endsleigh has you covered under tenant liability. This could be anything from spilling a drink on your carpet to accidentally breaking a window.

  • Tech Protection:

    • Got a laptop or tablet? Good news! Your portable computer equipment is covered in your room during term time.

  • Coverage During Holidays:

    • If you leave your belongings in your student accommodation during holiday periods (up to 60 days), they’ll still be protected.

  • Temporary Places:

    • If you’re staying somewhere else temporarily within the UK (like visiting a friend), your items are still covered.

  • Communal Areas:

    • Even if your stuff is stored in communal areas like shared kitchens or designated storage areas, you’re protected against damage or theft.
  • Bicycle Theft:

If you own a bike and it’s stolen from your student accommodation, Endsleigh covers that too!

 

 

What’s Not Covered?

While this insurance is pretty comprehensive, there are some things to keep in mind:

  • Your mobile phone isn’t covered.

  • If you leave your stuff unattended (like leaving a laptop on a café table), it won’t be covered.

  • Theft due to unlocked doors or windows isn’t covered either.

 

 

How to Make a Claim?

If something does go wrong, making a claim is easy! You can either use the My Endsleigh app or head to their online portal. And if you ever have questions, their friendly support team is just a call away.
